Well, here we are on Thursday 8th March and handover won't be happening today.... :(
The bank needed some info which we weren't able to give them until last Monday........they then rang on Tuesday and said that after a valuation was to be done by Thursday (today)....they could possibly/maybe get the final payment arranged for Friday........hmmmm.......I think there was a lot of emphasis on the 'possibly/maybe' part of that conversation..... it's just frustrating that after all the effort the builders have gone to to get us in before the long weekend, the bank may be the reason we can't move in...... Although I guess in the scheme of things, we'll forget in 6 months time that we had to wait a few extra days!!!
Anywho......on the bright side, after we had a walkthrough on Tuesday and spotted a few things, the extra day has given the builders a chance to fix these things and get some other things finished off like paint touch ups, some of the fencing and give the cleaners a chance to get it all completely spick and span!
So......we sit and wait......fingers crossed (& everything else) that we get to move in over the long weekend........
