A little bit more progress.....

And again, we've had more requests for an update! I am so pleased that there are people out there reading this and it's not just us! :)

Since the last update:

The front door frame has been changed

The bath surround (?hob) has been installed.  The bath won't go in until a lot later to avoid being damaged.  Building Inspector #1 checking it out

Extra noggins have been put in.  Here they are in the family bathroom for the toilet roll holder!

Our cavity slider frames have been installed - this is the one into the ensuite

We shifted the remaining bricks (515!) out of the way so we can use them later for....well, we're not too sure exactly, but maybe letterbox, pizza oven??

We are really looking forward to see what happens next! :)

A surprise find......

We had a chance to go and visit the house 'child free' on Sunday afternoon to check out a few things and were pleasantly surprised to find some work had been done since our visit on Friday evening.

There were some more bricks and the sills had been done on a few rooms:

Bathroom and toilet windows - complete with their sills

The front porch - all completed apart from the front door which needs to be changed.

The windows for the study and the ensuite

Master bedroom window

Bricking on the walls almost there....

Quite a quiet week

A combination of rain and horseracing has meant a slow week - that and the fact that building brick walls is slower than putting up wooden frames.
Lake Midgley is back - didn't wash away the dunny though.
Someone has been planing down the internal frame in preparation for the plasterboard
